CLINANTHUS. Folia angusta , ensiformia, basi tubulosa scapum amplexa. Umbella 2-pluriflora. Pedunculi erecti. Germen trisulcum sub-rotundum. Tubus declinatus, infundibuliformis. Laciniæ breves, à tubo directè (ut videtur) continuatæ. Patria America meridionalis. Species. 1. Luteus. Sp. inedita. Specimen à Pavon in herbar. Lambert. Leaves narrow, ensiform, with a tubular base embracing the scape. Umbell two or more flowered. Peduncle erect. Germ. with three furrows, nearly round. Tube sloped from the germ, funnel-shaped. Petals very short, apparently continued straight from the tube. Country S. America. Species 1. Luteus. Only known by Pavon’s Specimen in Mr. Lambert’s herbarium. Pancratium Luteum.
